Ahhhh...Key West!

KEY WEST- all we can say is "wow!" We decided to take the trip down for our first anniversary and also Nicole's b-day. What an amazing time. Key West is by far the most interesting, eclectic, fun town we've ever been to. You never know what you're going to see- from chickens walking right next to you down the sidewalk, to the unique night life, to street performers on tight ropes, to the beautiful sunsets. In this pic we're on a huge sailboat for a dinner cruise- what a night!!

This was the pool at our hotel- beautiful, huh?? We spent lots of time here.

Our first anniversary dinner! Complete with sparkling wine and all. This was at a place called "The Grand" which was a restaurant in a beautiful, old house.

A Key West sunset. The picture says it all.

Nicole even found a homemade candle with the name of her favorite band on it! Pretty cool.

more Key West pics...

Enjoying some cocktails out on the town...

Greg at the Southernmost Point of the continental U.S.- we were closer to Cuba at that point than we were to Miami!

Nicole petting one of the famous 6-toed cats at the Ernest Hemingway house. This was the one day all week that it rained.

At the Fort Zachary Beach! This was one of about a million cruise ships we saw come in during the week.

This was probably one of the most fun things we did- jet skiing around the whole island. Here we were on a sand bar where you could get off the jet ski and walk around. During our ride, we had a navy blackhawk fly down REALLY close to us, and the pilot waved at us. How awesome is that??? (There's a naval air station on Key West.)

the last Key West post...we promise

Here we are at a restaurant called "Louie's Backyard" right on the Atlantic for Nicole's 29th birthday!

We went on a Ghost Tour one night, which was pretty freaky! This was "Cowboy," our guide who took us to all of the haunted places on the island.

This was the "Cat Man"- a performer at the nightly Sunset Celebrations at Mallory Square. You can see how we might be partial to watching this guy. :)

Our last sunset before we left- look at all the people!! What an amazing trip- we definitely can't wait to get back there sometime....especially after coming home to 10 degree weather!!

New Years Eve 2006

Hey all,
Joel was gracious enough to host the New Years Eve party this year. Thanks Joel! We all had a ton of fun, making it well past midnight into 2007.... Thanks to Jennifer, Jenny and Chris for providing the sweet party favor glasses and hats. I'll post a few photos to remember the event.
