Where the HECK is the time going???
Here are some randoms from the past couple of months or so. She is getting to be such a big girl. We've been keeping busy this winter, that's for sure! We went to Jamaica in January (sans Simone) and we all survived. We went for Greg's brother, Steve's wedding to Krista! It was absolutely beautiful. One of these days I'll get pics up of that, too. In a couple of weeks, we are all going to Florida- CAN'T WAIT!!!
What Simone is doing: Pretty much RUNNING, not just walking! Says a bunch of words: "Hi, Mama, Dada, clock, truck, Moo, Baaaa, quack quack, outside, cheese, hot, up, cup", and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. She LOVES The Children's Museum and Tot Time at our local elementary school's gym. Still LOVES books. The one thing she will sit still for. Otherwise, she's constantly on the move. LOVES other kids. Loves playing with her grandmas and grandpas. Loves any open space that she can run in. Loves baths. Loves electronics- computers, cameras, phones. Loves music- I swear she'll be a musician someday. She's a picky eater, but we're working on it. She can point to her eyes, ears, mouth, nose, belly button, and feet. She correctly points to objects when asked, or pictures of objects in books when asked. She'll follow some directions (go get your coat, go put that magnet on the fridge, etc.) She knows the letters "S" and "H" and can say them. Why those two? "S" is for Simone, but H- i have no clue.
What I LOVE about Simone:
-She is SO spunky. Sometimes a little TOO spunky, but I never have to wonder what she's thinking!
-How she loves to brush her hair.
-How every single day she'll go through her basket of books- look through each one, make a comment on each, then throw it behind her.
-How she LOVES music. Any music commercial on TV, she has to stop and dance. She loves music videos on YouTube (particularly One Republic.)
-How she babbles so much and speaks what we call "Simone-ese."
-How she blows through her mouth if she sees that something is hot.
-Any drink is known as "Ahhhhh" (the sound you make after taking a long drink of something)
-How she loves belly buttons and thinks they're funny.
-How she loves cars and trucks and goes nuts if she sees one go by.
-How she points out the window to the sky if she hears an airplane and looks for it.
-How she goes crazy when we're in an elevator and the door opens- like it's some magical world behind the door!
-How she thinks it's hilarious to drop stuff from our landing down onto the floor.
-How when we're at The Children's Museum or most other public places, she's constantly running up to other people/kids for a closer look.
-How she thinks it's hilarious to throw her Nuks out of her crib so we have to look for them.
-How she thinks it's funny when Daddy swings a golf club.
-How she LOVES photographs/pictures of people.
-How she loves to explore.
-How she loves to empty out the cupboards.
I could go on and on. She is our sweet, funny, adorable angel and we love her so much.
