Greg's B-day!
It was a busy weekend Nov 5th-7th...two parties at our house! Greg's was that Friday and Simone's party was that Sunday (pics further down in another post). Above- the birthday boy! He looks thrilled, I know.
Scott and Ryan- lovely.
Jackson and Simone having fun together!
Let's just say we had an incident that involved needing to dunk Braden in the tub. He had fun in the tub, though! (With mommy Jenny)
Ryan, Kevin, Joel
Parties are a tad different now that a lot of us have kids!!
Jackson entertained us all for a while! He is so funny!
We all ooohed and ahhhed over Ryan's new little guy Gavin. What a cutie.
Greg, Joel, Kevin
Alicia and Jenny
I don't know who liked this toy more- Jackson or Jenny.
Of course we had to break out the Wii. I don't think I've ever seen Kevin move so fast!
Or Greg!!
Thanks to all who came over to celebrate!
Simone is ONE!!!!!
I absolutely cannot believe that my little girl is ONE. No, I mean, I really can't. I don't know where the year went. All you parents out there know how crazy it is. And what a year it was....lots of craziness, of course, but the joy Simone brought Greg and me is just unbelievable.
We had just a little get-together with our family at our house for Simone's party, and it was just a perfect day. Above- all 3 of us at the end of the day, which is why Simone isn't looking too happy! It was naptime. She had a WONDERFUL day, though.
Some of the fam- Bobbi, Amy, Lucas, Grandma Joanie, and Carole.
Simone's "throne" all decked out.
It was crazy how nice it was for November! We were able to eat out on the deck!
Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Pat, Grandma and Grandpa Skoge, Grandma Joanie, and Sean and Liam.
Time to open presents! Uncle Tim and Auntie Suzie on the couch.
Wow, this opening presents thing is fun!!
Simone LOVED her play kitchen that she got form Brenda, Sean, Liam and Lucas.
Simone's smash cake, which she didn't smash- more picked at.
She did not know what to think of everyone singing to her!!
Simone and her big cake!
Liam was enjoying Simone's presents, too! This little cake was so adorable from Grandma Joanie.
Cousin Lucas passed out on Sean...too much partying.
Whew! The tired parents after a wonderful day.
What Simone is doing now:
Not quite walking on her own yet, but very close. Takes a couple of steps. Still walks around with her walker toys all the time. Aside from mama and dada, Simone's first word was "outside!" How funny is that? She says it clearly, too. She also says "Uh-oh," "cheese," and her version of "what's that?" (sounds like, "wha'sat?". LOVE IT. I can't remember what I put in the post from a couple of months ago, so I may repeat things, but she points to her nose, ears, and tummy when asked. She holds her play phone up to her ear like she's talking (hilarious). Brushes her own hair, and points to a lot of different objects when you ask her where they are. It's just amazing to me what a one year old can know and understand! I know I'm forgetting some things...but it's just so fun to see her learn new things and see the light bulb go on.
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, SIMMIE!!! Mom and Dad love you so much!!
Simone's Last First Holiday!
Woah, I've got some major catching up to do, here! So, here are Simone's first Halloween pics- her last "first" holiday before turning one! As you can see, we had the 50's theme going on with our costumes, including Greg as a 50's nerd. Gotta love it!
Simone and Mommy.
That's my guy. I know- I'm so lucky. :)
I took Simone trick-or-treating around our cul-de-sac. We also went to a neighbor's Halloween party for a little bit, then headed to Sean and Brenda's. Busy night! Simone got a kick out of trick-or-treating. :)
Cousin Lucas as a puppy! He had had it at this point...sooooo tired.
I just thought my little girl looked so cute in her poodle skirt. :)
Well, you never know what kind of pic you're going to get with a 2.5 year old, a 9 month old, and an 11 month old...and this was it. Ha!!
Simone with her cateye glasses that she wouldn't keep on.
Simone and Grandma Joanie!
Cousin Liam, also as a puppy!
Daddy and Simone.
What a great Halloween!!
Also, we went to go see Maroon 5 and One Republic on Oct. 28th.
AWESOME show. Above it One Republic...I actually enjoyed them a lot more than Maroon 5!
Maroon 5 was still awesome, though.
Gotta love Adam Levine.

Fall is Fun!!!
Well, here we go- this is probably the last post where I can say my little girl is a "baby!!" I can't even believe it. I'm excited and sad all at the same time. Only a couple of more weeks until she's one.
It's unbelievable all of the new things she's doing since I last posted. She now feeds herself quite a few finger foods, crawls like a madwoman, can scale our stairs unbelievably fast, stands for a few seconds on her own, walks everywhere with her walker (we're not far from it being on her own), brushes her hair with her brush, and correctly points to "light", "kitty," "babies," and "outside" when you ask her to, and knows what these words mean. She also dances if you ask her to dance. She LOVES her bath, going for walks, playing at the park, and LOVES looking at pictures. She also likes to read books- she flips through them on her own quite a bit, and we read SO much every day. She's been babbling for a loooong time now...makes me wonder if she'll be an early talker because she "talks" so much. She points to things and says what sounds like, "What's that?" and has said what I thought sounded like "outside" twice while pointing outside. It's just so fun to see her little wheels turn!
Anyway, enjoy the pics below- they're from 10 and 11 months old- she's younger as you go down. Above- her pumpkin that we carved! She gets so excited to see her pumpkin sitting on the front step when we come back to the house on our walks.
Go Vikes!
One of her favorite things- playing in the pantry. And if one of the boxes of cereal "accidentally" pours out on the floor so she can eat it, even better.
My pretty girl playing in the leaves at the park. We've been so lucky and have had really nice, warm weather for October.
Simone LOVES to swing!!
In the tunnel at the park! Thank goodness we live so close to a park- we go almost every day.
All ready for a walk!
Playing with her magnets on the fridge- also one of her faves.
Playing with cousin Liam! She's very social and LOVES playing with other kids. If she sees another kid at the mall or a restaurant or something, she'll do all she can to get over to them.
GOOFBALL.
Playing with her cousin Lucas! They are only 2.5 months apart.
Simone's first trip to the apple orchard! Watching the apple sorter with Daddy and Uncle Sean and Cousin Liam.
Uncle Sean and Cousin Liam looking at the pumpkin patch.
"What the heck are these things??"
Woah- BIG pumpkin!!
Sitting on her own lawnchair in the yard.
At the park again! She loves to ride in the car.
Random pic- guess who's pregnant?? Ha. Beth only a couple of weeks before she had her sweet little boy, and our goofy husbands.
We have such a happy girl. :)
Mommy and her little diva.
Simone in her funky outfit that Dad picked out. And I don't know what's with the face. She did this for 3 pics in a row, then never did it again. Nut!
Playing in the pantry again!
I love my mornings at home with my little girl.
Crawling away! It's hard to keep up with her!
In the Burley! She didn't quite know what to think of this thing.
Going for a ride with Mom and Dad!
Watching Grandpa Pat's trains with Grandma Kathy!
All clean and ready for bed.
Babies fall asleep in some weird positions.
Another one of her faves- tearing up magazines!
We are so blessed- Simone is such a fun, happy baby with a great amount of "spunk." We just love her!!!
