The "Heads of our Household"

We realized that we never took the time to introduce the furry members of our household. They never cease to keep us laughing and entertained:


This is Tiger. He is lying on a picture of his namesake. He's 3 and a half years old, and his favorite pasttime is being naughty and then trying to be cute enough to make up for being naughty (which he usually accomplishes).



Tiger likes climbing up onto the highest spot he can get to, which is often Dad's shoulders.


This is Poster. He's 7 years old and likes to tell Tiger what to do. We think he's the mastermind of most of Tiger's naughtiness. His pasttimes include eating, lying around, lying around some more, cuddling, and puking.



This is probably both Tiger's and Poster's all-time favorite thing to do- cuddle with each other. We never know where we're going to find them- on the guest bed...

There ya have it! They are truly best buddies and we love them to death.

Good grief - we've been busy!

Ok, so it's been way too long since we've updated our blog. It's been a busy month. The house is still for sale and we had various Thanksgiving celevrations around MN and WI with some of our families. Maplewood at my parent's house and River Falls for Nicole's Uncle Skip and Aunt Carole's house. A few other goings-on were: Halloween at Mayslacks with Orange Whip, My (Greg's) birthday at Majors with dueling pianos, Division 1 CC Regionals at the U of M golf course and a long lunch with the Moellers, and Kevin's B-Day at the MOA (NASCAR Style Baby!).

Marathon Update

WE DID IT!!

7 months of training paid off. We made it through the Chicago Marathon alive and well! It was a little cold and windy, but the scenery was unbelievable and the crowd was so much fun- the adrenaline was definitely pumping through our bodies. Nicole's time was 4 hours 49 minutes (about 30-45 minutes slower than she had hoped- 1st marathon nerves!) and Greg's time was 3 hours 33 minutes! It was definitely one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had, especially for Nicole, not knowing what to expect. It was so much fun running through all of the Chicago districts- Little Italy, Chinatown, etc. Coming down that finish shoot was just spectacular, especially with all of the crowd support.
Now, the next question is....will there be more marathons??? Definitely! Well, with Greg, that's never really a question- he's always ready for another! Before the race, Nicole wasn't sure how she'd feel about running another after this one, but she is DEFINITELY more excited to tackle another one now that she knows the ropes a little more. Both of us are just thrilled to have this accomplishment under our belts! Until the next post....talk to you all soon!

Just some quick picture explanations....the race photos in the above post are of the both of us crossing the finish line (YAY!). There are a couple of Greg in this post mid-race, one of him running through Chinatown. The one of us wearing our medals at the top was taken in our hotel room at the House of Blues right after the race, and the others are of us at the EXPO with the New Balance shoe (ha!) and pace cars.
